History / About

Hamburg Records was founded in 2002 by F.V.Schwarz in order to be able to exploit the re-gained publishing rights of his band Pyogenesis worldwide. During the 2000s, the business area expanded to include a management department, with the musical focus always being on rock in general and punk rock and metal in particular.

In 2004, an online shop and in 2006 the merchandise printing service Shirtagentur were added to the company, which was then based on Hamburg’s Reeperbahn.

In this area, the company has developed into one of the largest suppliers in the German-speaking area and also works in this area for companies that fit the Hamburg Records company philosophy, such as FC St. Pauli, Kein Bock auf Nazis or fritz-kola.

After several years of publishing cooperations with EMI and Warner, the company founded the music publisher Glorious Songs. The first signing was the Top 40 chart hit Itchy Poopzkid “Lights Out London”.

Today, Hamburg Records is an artist management company that is successfully active in all areas of marketing: artist management, independent labels, music publishing and merchandise production and sales
